MAKING OUR COMMUNITY MORE WALK-ABLE:

National "Walk This Way" Campaign SAFE KIDS NJ, Cumberland County, Sponsored by The Millville Rescue Squad, networked with R.D Wood School on Oct 8th, 2003, to teach our children and parents the safety of pedestrian walking. Wood School has an estimate of 300 walkers. An ambulance was on hand for the children to see that vehicles cannot see them at all times. We spent time talking about safety tips. The children held signs instructing their friends to "look both ways before crossing the street". Everyone was very enthusiastic and eager to listen to the message!
